Experienced Optician needed in Bellingham, WA

We are seeking a skilled Optician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for eye care and providing exceptional service to our patients.

Duties:

• Assist customers in selecting eyeglasses, lenses, and frames that suit their needs

• Take accurate measurements to ensure proper fit of eyewear

• Adjust and repair eyewear as needed

• Educate patients on proper eyewear care and usage

• Work closely with ophthalmologists and optometrists to ensure accurate prescriptions

• Maintain inventory of eyewear and optical supplies

• Process orders and manage paperwork related to eyewear purchases

Requirements:

• Experience in optical sales and fitting

• Knowledge of senior care optical needs

• Understanding of anatomy and physiology related to the eye

• Familiarity with optical systems and equipment

• Proficiency in retail math for pricing and transactions

• Ability to manage medical records accurately

• Background in retail management within an optical setting is a plus

• Exposure to ophthalmology practices is beneficial

• Familiarity with laboratory procedures related to optical work
