Envision Optometry in Bellevue is seeking a Licensed Dispensing Optician or Apprentice

Help patients see well and look great! Grow professionally and receive good benefits while working with fun people! Well-established optometry office in downtown Bellevue has a position open for a knowledgeable Licensed Dispensing Optician, or a Registered Optician Apprentice, to complement our professional team. Our office is seeking a highly productive individual with excellent communication skills.

Envision Optometry takes pride in delivering quality eyecare in a friendly, service-oriented environment. We strive to provide a happy and welcoming environment for both our patients and staff. Patients should be impressed by the exceptional level of care and concern we demonstrate.

In addition to the usual tasks of frame styling, lens selection, lab ordering and monitoring, checking finished orders and fitting spectacles, Optician may occasionally need to greet patients, answer telephones, and check patient insurance benefits. We prefer an individual who can describe lens options and measurements using easily understandable nontechnical language. Inventory management experience would be appreciated.

The Optician will utilize Officemate software to post charges and transmit lab orders. We are VSP providers, and our office is open Tuesday through Saturday.

COVID: in addition to usual disinfection and protection for staff and patients, the entire office receives HEPA virus-filtration and individual rooms have HEPA filtration with UV purification. Patient arrival is controlled and staggered.

Wages for Licensed Optician with 2+ years of post-license experience and verifiable references start at $25 per hour. We are most interested in a full-time employee but will consider part-time. Full-time employees receive health insurance, vacation, paid holidays, sick leave and vision care.

While state licensure is preferred, it is not a requirement. Employee will be eligible to work toward becoming a WA State Licensed Dispensing Optician by registering as an Apprentice Optician.
